The Department of Paediatrics at MNBC is an excellent mix of experience and new ideas and has vast experience in Neonatology. The department is led by Dr. Ujjal Chatterjee and Dr. Ajit Chhetri. The department has PICU as well as NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) with facilities for pre-term and SDF babies. The department is equipped to treat Neonatal Jaundice with Phototherapy, Exchange Transfusion (in cases of severe Jaundice in newborns). Treatment of Neonatal infection and other emergencies like Hypoglycemia is also carried out.
